NetSetGo! program is on every Saturday Competition Day on Court 3 starting
at 10:50 in the BNASC foyer area at RMIT Bundoora.
We are getting closer to the 5th December and thank you for your support of this event, we cannot do this without you.
Everyone is still experiencing the same hesitation with getting out there but slowly slowly the situation will change and we can perhaps relax as we go about our daily lives as we did before. Then the children will once again be able to get out and enjoy their netball.
The Venue for our netball event is : Keon Park Netball (tennis) Courts: Wagga Road Reservoir, we have the outside courts booked the ones along the park. Do not be concerned these are great courts with new flexi pave surface. Toilets are available for access.
For your information RMIT courts will remain closed for the remainder of 2020 and will not open till early January 2021.
The players will access the courts and their names will be recorded and their attendance marked off. The parents will remain on the outside of the courts. Limits and spacing (social distancing 1.5 metres) make this the best option.
The players will be visible from the outside of the courts in the parkside, and with the parents not accessing the inside of the venue, recording of attendance will not be necessary, and spacing around the courts will be easier, and more comfortable for all. If you require a seat please bring your own.
FACE MASK UPDATE – please see attached resource.
o Carry a mask at all times.
o Masks are not required when you are able to socially distance.
o It is recommended that coaches and team officials wear a face mask where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
o Scorers must wear a face mask where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
o Umpires do not require to wear a mask while umpiring, but keep a mask on hand if social distancing cannot be maintained during a break.
The format will comprise a series of warmups, ball handling drills then some game play, round robin. A roster will be prepared and the time slots organised.
MOST IMPORTANT PLAYERS MUST NOT ACCESS THE COURTS UNTIL 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR ALLOCATED TIME AND ONCE COURT ACTIVITIES HAVE FINISHED YOU MUST LEAVE THE COURTS IMMEDIATELY SO WE MAINTAIN NUMBER LIMITS COURTSIDE.
Once outside in the park there is more opportunity to maintain distancing a group limits.
Just playing netball again is pretty exciting. Looking forward to seeing you there.
We would appreciate if the teams are able to bring their own bibs. We will have some, but in this climate bibs are NOT to go from player to player during a game if they go over the head. So each team will look after their own….. if not possible the Association will have some bibs available. If players are having problems with wearing uniforms, shorts and t’shirts are ok just so bibs can be worn.
Each player can bring a water bottle, which they are responsible for and there will be no sharing of food. Lollies fruit etc.
Please if you have any queries do not hesitate to contact us.
Times will be as follows:
8:30am 18&Under WARMUP & 3 game round robin, on 3 courts.
9:45am 15&Under WARMUP & 3 game round robin, on 3 courts.
11:00am 13&Under WARMUP & 3 game round robin, on 3 courts.
12:15pm 11&Under WARMUP & 3 game round robin, on 2 courts.
12:15pm Net-Set-Go! program will run for 1 hour.
Good morning all hope you are still doing ok and keeping positive, as we map through this road out!
As was mentioned back in September we are super keen to get everyone on the courts before the end of 2020. The year that never was for sport!
What we, the committee, are contemplating is a fun event for all players, 11&under, 13&Under, 15&Under and 18&Under, and a skills building for all NetSetGO and 8-10 players.
This will be a free event, and the date we have in mind is Saturday 5th December 2020 .
Of course, this is subject to government regulations on indoor sport and also availability of RMIT. But we the committee feel it is important that we break the cycle of inactivity and get out on the court.
This event will be slightly different with the COVID-19 regulations currently in place, but together with RMIT and Netball Victoria we have a strong COVID plan.
So, what we are looking at is for you as team coaches and managers is to start generating interest. This is critical . Start the talk and get the word out.
Please if you can express your support for this event at info@pvna.com.au.....
Keep tuned into PVNA web page (here) for updates and also the association Facebook page.

Greetings, a lot has changed in a few weeks when we confidently confirmed that we would be returning to competition games on 18th July, however following announcements from Premier and in the interest of community safety – Plenty Valley Netball Association has decided to postpone our competition start date to Saturday 1st August.2020.
RMIT are on board to reopen for training sessions for teams commencing Monday 13th July. Or anyone looking for training opportunities contact Sue.
Thank you all so much for your patience, if you are able to email and advise that your team is returning by Monday 20th July, we will start working on a fixture to commence the Spring season for 2020.
RMIT is keenly looking forward to welcoming us back to the venue and have been working tirelessly on management under this new COVID-19 regime
Stay safe and look after one another.
Looking forward to hearing and seeing you all soon.
Good news……We have been waiting and waiting to get the green light so we can start organising our return to netball. Well we can now start preparing to get our young players out on the courts at RMIT playing…. Aiming for competition commencement 18th July, 2020.
There are new guidelines, taking into consideration the current situation during COVID-19, which are clearly outlined on the Netball Victoria website https://vic.netball.com.au/latest-update. Have a look through these guidelines, this way the more informed you are, your players can rely on you/us/RMIT
doing all we can to keep our playing environment safe.
So what we are intending is to resume a shortened Autumn season three/four rounds. Which would mean each team has played each other at least once/twice. Then we will have one (1) week of finals (as per Vince’s email 11th June).
So if you are able to contact your players as soon as possible so that you can determine if they are returning to play. Then we ask that you advise us so we can get the fixturing organised. Please if you can be back to us by 4th July, 2020.
Also if you are training at RMIT please come back to me regarding your training. RMIT are looking for confirmation that we will commence training on Monday 13th July.
The Victorian Government has announced further easing of restrictions which will enable groups of up to 20 - plus a coach - to participate in training at outdoor venues from Monday 1 June, 2020. All activity and training must continue to be non-contact and no competitions or match play may take place. Netball Victoria will continue to support Associations, Leagues and Clubs through this unprecedented time to ensure they adhere to the Return to Community Netball guidelines.
Netball Victoria continues to advocate on behalf of our community to the State Government for a roadmap to resume competitive netball. At this point in time, we are advocating for a recommencement of competition netball in mid-July 2020.
To enable us to effectively assess the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on your annual Netball Victoria membership, we have deferred an announcement until October 31, 2020. This will enable us to make an informed decision based on the state of play, and to further assess a range of options to manage current and future memberships. We continue to accept applications for refunds based on hardship or medical reasons, which are assessed on a weekly basis.
We are aware our netball community are doing all you can to make decisions in this uncertain environment. We encourage you to wait for the Victorian Government announcements regarding further easing of restrictions before making any definitive decisions. We expect to see a strong Return to Community Netball and look forward to continuing to work with our passionate netball community to achieve this.
Netball Victoria has announced the first step in the gradual return to netball with the guidelines allowed for training. At this stage it is only training and only on outdoor courts. RMIT will not be available as courts are inside, but maybe you are able to access outdoor courts. We will follow this up and see what is available.
Please ensure that you abide by these guidelines. Soon enough, we will be able to be more involved, but only when we are advised to do so.
Netball Victoria is excited to advise that from Thursday 21 May, groups of up to 10 people will be permitted to meet outdoors for the purpose of group netball activity, whilst adhering to appropriate physical distancing regulations.
We see this as an opportunity for teams to gradually begin to reconnect with their teammates and return to training in a safe and cautious manner.
For more information on our Return to Community Netball guidelines - including downloadable resources for Affiliates, Clubs and NV members - please click here.
Each team will be required to have a minimum of one (1) representative (over 18 years of age).
All positions on the Committee are declared vacant (as per the Constitution). We look forward to interested persons nominating for the undermentioned positions.
Please if you read through the update from Netball Victoria you get a feel for netball going forward (i.e. click here to view letter from Rosie King CEO of Netball Victoria).
We like them have no idea of any timeframe re our return only to say that we have stated that netball has been suspended till 31st May, 2020. Of course this date could change!
Hopefully everyone is staying positive and busy during this time of isolation and if you follow the links in this notice these may help you feel further involved in our great game of netball.
As a result of the recent announcement by the Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews that the State Government will be implementing a state-wide shut down of non-essential services, Plenty Valley Netball Association (PVNA) in line with Netball Victoria will be postponing all netball competitions and trainings until 31 May 2020.
All gatherings have been cancelled until 31 May in line with the current health guidelines implemented by the Australian Government.
This date will continue to be evaluated and be guided by government guidelines.
We will be back. Stay fit and healthy netball is our game and we will enjoy it again .... soon hopefully!
RMIT have been in touch, and they are closing the stadium for two weeks commencing Friday 20th March.
We at Plenty Valley netball Association, as a committee have made a decision, based on the escalating situation on COVID-19 that we will cancel all games and training sessions up till return of school second term.
Saturday competition will commence on Saturday 18th April, 2020.
In as much as we are setting this as the return date, this will be based on conditions imposed at the time.
We want to reassure our Netball Victoria community that we are in close consultation with the State Government of Victoria, VicSport and other key stakeholders, and are monitoring the public health situation and any possible impacts as a result of COVID-19 (also known as ‘coronavirus’).
Until further directives from the State Government of Victoria in relation to group gatherings due to COVID-19 concerns are received, all Melbourne Vixens and Netball Victoria events will be going ahead as planned.
In relation to local competitions, please keep in close contact with your club, Association or League for the most up-to-date information as it comes to hand.
We understand people’s concern given the potential seriousness of the situation, but ask our community not to panic, and instead listen to evidence-based, real-time advice of health professionals and government officials. Please follow the directions and information on COVID-19, issued by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), which can be found here; www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus.
For sport specific advice, please refer to the Australian Institute of Sport webpage, which includes information on travel, as well as FAQs relating to COVID-19.
Everyone should practise good hygiene to protect against infections. Good hygiene habits include:
- washing your hands often with soap and water;
- using a tissue and cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze;
- avoiding close contact with others, such as touching.
You can read more about protective measures against COVID-19 on the World Health Organization website.
We also wanted to reassure you that in the current environment if you feel uncomfortable shaking hands with your opposition at the end of a game, there are plenty of other ways to display sportsmanship and gratitude at the end of a game; such as a verbal congratulations.
We will endeavour to keep you updated as new information comes to hand. In the meantime, the most important thing you can do is look out for each other.
Congratulations to all our premiership teams for 2019.
Thank you to all the teams for being part of the 2019 competition. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & look forward to seeing you again in 2020.

The City of Whittlesea is developing the Whittlesea Netball and Basketball Plan to identify if and where additional facilities are needed to support the growth of Netball and Basketball. An important part of this process is to hear from our local community!
Council is currently conducting a Netball and Basketball Participation Survey, and encourages all parents and children to complete it. The questionnaire will only take 4-5 minutes to complete, and the information collected will help us improve netball and basketball facilities for the local community!
Participants who complete the survey will also have a chance to win one of three $50 Rebel Sport vouchers.
Click here to complete the survey before it closes on Friday 7 December 2018.
A big thank you to all teams Coaches and team manager for supporting our chocolate drive. Everyone did their bit and all chocolates were sold.
Thank you so much for your ongoing contribution to PVNA
The Association runs all programs just to cover costs and to assist our financial position we look to run BBQs and small chocolate sales at times.
Our fundraising endeavours with BBQs have become difficult, what with recruiting volunteers to stand and sell the sausages and the falling off of numbers at the swap meets (1st Saturday of the month) have also caused a drop in sales, equating to minimal profit for effort.
As discussed at the Annual General meeting in May we have organised a small chocolate drive and each team will receive three (3) boxes of chocolates to sell. As opposed to a box per player, we felt starting with a small fundraiser at this time may work better.
The chocolate boxes will be handed to the team Manager/Coach and can be distributed as seen fit. Payment for the boxes handed out (as stated three (3) per team) is to be handed to the desk two (2) weeks later. No unsold boxes will be accepted.
Chocolates will be handed out on Saturday 11th August and money is to be returned 25th August, 2018.
Clubs, Awesome Angels, Northern Blues, Shooting Stars, and Neon Nightmares, will be handed to the Club. Please if you could organise for a club representative to be responsible for collection.
Looking forward to your continued support.
For and on behalf of Committee PVNA

Just a note to say thanks to all the parents for their patience with what occurred on the outside courts on Saturday 1st Feb. our first day back. Sorry to Purple Puppies and Storm, putting up with the faulty court surface and special thanks to the parents and children who missed out on their game Supernovas and Awesome Angels 11's. I apologise that the call had to be made to cancel your game. Thanks very much. (The tennis game/set did not conclude till 11.05am not helpful.) Thanks also to Lightning Bolt and Awesome Angels 9's, last game outside.
All up it was not a good start!

Melbourne will host the world’s best netballers at the ANZ Championship Official Pre-Season event over the weekend of February 15-16 at Melbourne’s State Netball Hockey Centre.
Dubbed the `Summer Shootout’, the event is a joint venture between the ANZ Championship and Netball Victoria, and supported by the Victorian State Government.
Games will be played on two courts at the State Netball Hockey Centre with teams set to have a number of valuable hit-outs over the two days.
The Victorian State Government has provided important funding support to enable Netball Victoria to host the event, with the Minister for Sport and Recreation Hugh Delahunty thrilled to showcase the best netballers in the world to Melbourne’s passionate sporting fans.
“We are proud to support this event. Melbourne has world class sporting facilities and is the home of the best sports fans in the world. There is no better place for international sports people and events and we are delighted to help bring this event to Victoria,” Minister Delahunty said.

In 2012 Netball Australia launched a new program called 'Dare to Develop a Diamond' targeting coaches working with athletes aged 11-13 years. This year they have extended this program to the 14 - 16 year age group.
Netball Victoria will be hosting 4 workshops in November & December at Shepparton, Parkville, Geelong and Waverley.
These 3 hour workshops will cover both the strength and conditioning and technical and tactical components recommended for these age groups. Included in the cost of the course, each participant will receive a 'Dare to Develop a Diamond' manual.
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to call Netball Victoria's Coach Development Coordinator Nicole Richardson on 09321 2213.
On the 26th November, 2012 the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 replaced the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.
As a result of these changes PVNA have been required either operate under the Model Rules or update our Constitution.
Accordingly our Constitution has been brought in line with the new requirements.
This document is attached for your perusal, and now what is required is for you the members, to approve the Constitution in its new form at a Special General Meeting to be convened on the 12th October at 1.30pm at BNASC.
A requirement for a quorum is for at least ONE MEMBER FROM EACH TEAM to be present at the meeting to vote on the motion:-
"Moved by L. Ferris, seconded M. Corps, unanimously carried that the Constitution as presented be adopted as the Constitution of PVNA, subject to approval by Consumer Affairs Victoria."
You may have noticed on the team page that the number of games players have played has changed. This has happened to bring it into line with the MILESTONE awards being handed out to players, these do not include participation in the Net-Set-Go! program, which was included previously on the team page. The MILESTONE awards are for games played in competition games on saturday morning within the PVNA competition.

With the focus on cheating and corruption in sport at the moment, underpinned by a 'winning at all costs' attitude, it just shows how important it is for us as parents, coaches and teachers to be good role models and emphasize positive values in junior sport such as fairness, good sportsmanship, and above all, a focus on fun!
The following story sums it up from a kid's perspective: Maddie is five. Her dad signed her up for her first ever mountain bike race. It was a single dirt track, one kilometre long. The race had all the trimmings – a starting gun, marshals and a finish line. Maddie tackled the course with gusto, got a prize for finishing and then rode the track four more times, just for fun. When asked later if she won, Maddie replied: "I dunno".
The new school year has begun and children all over the country are first-timers at come-and-try days and after-school sport. How do we ensure that every child's first experience of organised sport is a good one? What role do coaches play? What are the keys to junior sport success?
We all know sport is great for kids. It helps develop gross motor skills, keeps them healthy, promotes cooperative play, encourages teamwork and good sportsmanship. Children who participate in organised sport can make new friends, build self-esteem and develop a sense of fair play. But kids don't care about any of that - to them sport is one thing: fun!
So what are the keys for clubs who want to offer all that and more to the youngest of their junior members? Here's the must-do list:
Focus on fun
Fun is the number one motivator for young children in sport and in life.
• Forget winning and focus on fun. If they're having fun you can teach them just about anything.
• Help them to develop broad physical skills like balance, agility and coordination.
• Incorporate some sport-specific activities, but only if they're fun and they maximise participation.
• Plan a variety of activities to keep them engaged and give them plenty of time to learn new skills.
• Don't talk too much! Children are much better at doing than listening. Keep instructions short and simple.
Be fair and inclusive
Give everyone a go, regardless of their skill level or ability. The key is participation.
• Be a role model. By displaying a sense of fair play, you are teaching them the same valuable lesson.
• Modify activities and games to make sure you are catering to everyone.
• Be supportive; praise them for the things they do well.
• Give all children your time and attention, not just the most talented ones.
Make it safe
We may think they are made of rubber but young children do hurt themselves and others when playing sport. Not only are they less coordinated and have slower reaction times than adults, they are less capable of assessing risk, so may unknowingly take risks that result in injury.
• Use proper equipment and safety gear that is the correct size and fits well.
• Make sure all equipment is properly maintained.
• Ensure playing fields and tracks are in good condition so kids are less likely to fall or trip.
• Avoid over-use injuries by ensuring that coaching programs are appropriate for the age, maturity and skill level of the athletes.
• Match children with activities according to their age, size, skill level, physical and emotional maturity.
• Include supervised warm-up and cool-down periods and make sure they drink plenty of fluids.
• Make sure only qualified personnel attend to injuries.
Set boundaries
Every child who takes part in sport must be able to do so in a fun and safe environment, protected from physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Coaches should:
• maintain appropriate physical boundaries
• stay in control and don't lose your temper
• avoid transporting athletes and make sure parents are clear about collecting their children
• have clear guidelines for photographing children.
In 2013 at PVNA the costs for playing will be:
• Saturday Game FEE $45 (paid each week by a team)
• Team Registration $55 (paid once for each team per season)
• VNA Costs (paid by every player for the year):
Junior (12 – 17 years) Born between 01/01/1996 – 31/12/2001 $43
Modified (11 & Under) Born on or after 01/01/2002 $33
Please contact pv.netball@gmail.com... (Sue) if you are looking for more players. On the list there are :
7 players available for placement in 13 & Under teams
2 players available for placement in 11 & Under teams
1 player available for placement in 9 & Under team
If your a player looking for a team, also contact us and we will endeavor to find a team for you.
Players please do not train, prior to game, on hockey/soccer ground out front of the stadium. The sand on the soccer court comes onto the courts and has a negative effect. The sand apart from coming off on the court, even when swept away, leaves the surface very slippery and harder for the players to play on!
On Thursday 13th September Netball Australia in partnership with Netball Victoria will be hosting a Diamonds Community Clinic at the State Netball Hockey Centre.

The association would urge all coaches of netball teams to at least do the foundation coaching course through netball victoria. To this end we are hosting a coaching course at RMIT BNASC on the Sunday 3 June 2012.
After challenging first 2 tournaments of the year, 13(1)’s came back strong at the Diamond Creek tournament on 25 March to play in their first grand final. We then backed this up making it through to the grand final at the Blaze tournament on 22 April.
At the Diamond Creek tournament we had a fantastic semi final match against the top side Banyule. Having lost to them earlier in the day by 11 goals we turned that around to win by 3. At the Blaze tournament the semi was against Diamond Creek Force and we had a great 3 goal win also having lost to them earlier in the day.
Our semi final games at both tournaments against tough opposition were outstanding. We worked so hard in the semi finals that we just ran out legs in the grand finals – ending up runners up on both occasions.
Well done team

Live Your Community Sporting Mates is an exciting new program currently being delivered by Extended Families Australia and Access for All Abilities in Banyule, Whittlesea and Nillumbik.
Sporting Mates provides volunteer support for children with disabilities to participate in sporting club and active recreation activities, assisting them to overcome barriers to inclusion and broaden their social networks.
Participating volunteers undertake an induction program and receive training from experienced program coordinators before being carefully matched to a child with a disability (5 -17 years of age) living in Banyule, Whittlesea or Nillumbik.
Volunteers spend a few hours weekly, fortnightly or monthly (for 6 -12 months) with the child supporting them to join in fun sporting activities, learn new skills and make new friends!
No disability experience is required as all volunteers receive training and ongoing coordinator support. Reimbursement payments are provided towards any costs incurred whilst volunteering.
Volunteer recruitment for Sporting Mates is underway!
You can be a volunteer if you
• Enjoy interacting with children and young people
• Like having fun participating in your local community
• Can give 2 - 4 hours weekly, fortnightly or monthly to a child for 6-12 months
• Are 18 years & over and live, work or study in or near Banyule, Nillumbik or Whittlesea

At the Banyule tournament on the 21st August, the PV Comets 13&U Team 1 squad played 9 games during the fixtured rounds winning 8 of them. Eventually playing off in the grand final against this team, Banyule. The GF game was a great display of netball from both teams, with breaks and break backs to finish with a DRAW after a shot on goal rolled around the ring twice and popped out denying PV Comets Victory. The teams took the court for yet another two 3 minutes halves. It was played in similar vain as previously done, but this time PV Comets found themselve one goal ahead with Banyule denied the equaliser while in their attack end. Great game by all participants, well done Banyule for professionally running yet another tournament.
PVComets 2 (Div4) played Semi-final for their division. PVComets 4 and 5 (17&U Div 2 and 4) managed to get as far as the preliminary final for their divisions.
PVComets 1 played off in the division 1 grand final, it was a great game with the lead changing multiple times, one team pulling away with it and then the other coming back. It was goal for goal in the last quarter with Mena winning by ONE goal. Valiant effort by the comets ladies. Great game. Finals scores 27-28.

If you know other interested in playing netball, who are 12 or 13 years old, please let Sue (or send an email via "contact us" link above) know ASAP. We will setup a new team if we can get a 2-3 more players.
At the start of the saturday morning competition, round 5, the lights in Court 4 did not come on. Due to this light malfunction we were unable to use court 4 for competition, so first few games were moved to the outdoor court.
Entry fee are not normally payable when using the outdoor courts, but some people were charged entry fee and proceeded to go to outdoor courts. This only affected a few teams.
If you were one of the people that paid and then proceeded to the outdoor court for your game, please let Sue Drummond know, via email on: grasue1@optusnet.com.au

The 13&U Rep-Team 1 had another "Grand Final" victory, at a representative tournment. Well done to our 13&U Team 1 who played again Yarra 1 (winning 5 to 3) in the Grand Final of the 13&U OPEN Division at the Caulfield & District Netball Tournament on the 11th October 2009. It was a very low scoring grand final, but a satisfying victory, after being beaten by Yarra 1 & 2 teams during the round robin fixture.
Well done Bill the coach and John the team manager
Well Done to Sarina (coach), Dean (Team Manager) and the 15&Under Rep-Team 1, to a grand final success at the DDNA (Doncaster & District Netball Association) Tournament, on Sunday 13th September.
The day started off with light drizzle, wet surface, on outdoor courts in Templestowe. By the end of the day the courts had dried up and the wind had picked up with the SUN peeking through.
The 15&U Team 1 had a great set of games (see repsides part of website for details), winning all games except one against Banyule. The elimintaion final was a come from behind draw, which lead to extra time being played. The final results went out way. We played off in the Grand Final against the Banyule team, which went our way with a resounding 12-5 victory.
The only teams participating in the DDNA tournament were the 11&U and 15&U Team 1, due to lack of places not all teams were able to compete. The 11&Under team finished on top of the ladder for their division, with a high percentage, only losing to one team in their 7 matches. Well done!

The Doncaster District Netball Association (DDNA) Tournament can not accommodate any new teams. They had reached their capcacity in late july.
An alternative tournament is being recommended, Caulfield & District Netbal Association (C&DNA), which will be on October 8th.
The end of year tournament, at Geelong on the 12th November, looks like it will go ahead. Hiring of a BUS to take people down to geelong is being considered.

Season 2 will commence in the first week of JULY, hope to see you all then.
Well done to No Xcuses which won the U15 grand final against Dolphins.
Well done to Xtreme which won the 13&U grand final against The Roxys in a thriller. The game was a draw at full time, the teams then played to halves of 5 minutes. It looked like another draw was on the cards with a goal for goal play (and possibly a first 3 goals to be played), but Xtreme scored for a thrilling win.

Congratulations to Andrew for being picked in the U17s Mens Netball Team.
We all wish him well at the PVNA in this next elite stage of Netball competition!
Andrew started playing netball with Merrilyn at thomastown. A junior at the age of 8-9 years old and then got into one of Merrilyns teams: dolphin jades. He remained with this team until jades had to break up as there was no competition for the under 17s. Andrew then joined urban panthers and played with them for 2 years, till last year.
He stills trains with Merrilyn on thursdays and continues to play on wednesday nights at RMIT in mixed netball.
Andrew has also competed in many tournaments over the years the last one being craigiburn last year. Urban panthers came runners up against craigiburns A team.
Andrew has tried out for the mens netball team twice and succeeded the second time in securing a spot in the under 17s. this year the mens netball nationals will be held in sydney over easter(april) (Andrew is turning 16 in march.).
There will be fundraising to help him get to sydney and/or any donations will be greatly appreciated. fundraising will be the main focus so as much support will be greatly appreciated.
Under 13s may attend either:
4:30pm to 5:45pm session, OR
5:45pm to 7:00pm session
Training cost $3 per family.
Coaches please note: There is a possibility of allocating the 4:30-5:45 session to caoches wishing to train their own team. If you interested please see me (Sarina - Xtreme (U13) coach) either Saturday morning or Wednesday nights.
If you have any questions on training or coaching please feel free to come and see me.
It would be nice to have a small image of each team currently playing, and even a logo for the team!! There are a couple already, i.e. Orcas, Bluebirds and Urban Panthers
if you have a team photo OR team logo OR even more information about the actual team (like team color, team manager, coach or even a team moto or team song!!!)
Happy New Year!
Welcome to another season of Netball. The season starts on the 4th of February (SATURDAY).

Check the Fixture out, all Under 15s are starting play at 9:00am, Under 13s from 9:50am and 10:40am, while the Under 11s commence at 11:30am.
More players needed, especially for our Under 11 competitions. Contact your Team someone on the committee or a team manager if you know of any interested netball players.
One representative side from Plenty Valley attended the Banyule tournament. An Under 13 Reserve side, made up of the younger under 13s from our Under 13 competition. 4 member from Bluebirds, Xtreme and Ocean_Angels.
It really gave us a sense of where our girls need to be in a couple of years to compete. The Plenty Valley Under 13 team did very well against taller opponents. The 7 matches results were:
Plenty Valley 1 vs Caulfield Cougars 13
Plenty Valley 3 vs Werribee 15
Plenty Valley 0 vs Banyule 17
Plenty Valley 4 vs Hoppers Crossing 2

A sheet will be handed out at the netball venue during this saturdays (11th september) competition notifying members of the associations website and the password required to access the statistical areas of the website.
The fixture has changed, and now includes a BYE. A new Under 11 team, Danni_s Team, has been introduced. That means there are now 7 teams in the Under 11s. The junior competition is doing well, and netters continues to be well attended.
Hope the scores and ladders are correct. Any issues with the score please send mail to the webmaster of the website or let Sue know.
The ladders conform to the requirements as specified in the about are of this website.
Ladders are under construction.
The basic ladder construction programs are being upgraded in incorporate the association rules in regard to BYEs, and Under15 and Under17 teams playing each other. These details can be viewed in the About are of the website.
So, please bare with the web coordinator while this occurs.
It was great to get back into playing netball. The kids blood was boiling. They were really looking forward to another season of netball. They could not sleep last night, they woke up unusually early this morning with netball on there mind.
The games all ran smoothly and the umpires did a great job of umpire each game. Great to see a huge turnout for the Netters program, which ran after the Under 17, Under15, Under13 and Under 11 matches that ran from 9:00am till 12:30.
